Restore before you replace.
Most timber floors hold more than they show. Under a tired coating there is usually a floor worth keeping. Cheaper than replacement, kinder to the house, and carrying a character new boards take decades to earn. We will tell you honestly which yours is: a repair, a restoration, or genuinely past saving.
Before you book.
Should we restore or replace the floor?
Not always the answer you expect. If the boards have depth and the structure is sound, restoration usually costs less than replacement and keeps the character of the original floor. We assess on site and tell you plainly which side of the line your floor sits.
Can water-damaged floors be saved?
Often, yes. The affected run is lifted, dried and replaced, then the floor is re-sanded and finished as one surface so the join disappears. Speed matters with water: call early.
Will repaired boards match the old floor?
That is the craft of it. Boards are matched for species, grain and tone, and the whole floor is finished together, so a repair reads as one floor, not a patch.
How much does floor restoration cost?
It depends entirely on the floor: the damage, the area, the boards that need replacing and the finish chosen. We assess on site and provide a fixed, written, itemised quote, with an honest view on whether restoration is worth it for your floor.
